I ran in the York Days 5K this morning, and I did pretty well! My time was 26:29 (quite a bit slower than my very best 5K about 12 years ago), but I was very pleased. My pace came out to 8:32 — faster than I thought I would run it. I signed up for this race (and the one that follows) because they are part of the Seacoast Road Race Series, and if I finish 6 of the 8 races, I get a jacket! Never mind how well I finish them, I get the jacket regardless! So the next race is a 10K in August. Time to get training….
